First Nations Health Authority (FNHA)

The FNHA is the first and only provincial First Nations health authority in Canada. The FNHA plans, designs, manages and funds the delivery of First Nations health programs across BC.The First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) is the health and wellness partner to over 200 diverse First Nations communities and citizens across British Columbia (BC). Since its establishment by BC First Nations in 2013, the FNHA has worked to transform and reform the way health care is delivered to First Nations in BC, and to undertake program and service delivery in a manner aligned with First Nations philosophies, perspectives and ways of being. With communities at the forefront of everything they do, programs and services are continually reviewed and adapted to further align with the First Nations Perspective on Health and Wellness and the 7 Directives that guide FNHA operations.
